Mindsmith is a browser-based course authoring platform for instructional designers, educators, and training teams. Its AI can generate lesson drafts from prompts, documents, presentations, videos, and other source material, while the tile-based editor supports interactive lessons and courses. Authors can add assessments, branching scenarios, conversations, media, and more than 30 interactive elements, then share lessons through links or embeds or export them for LMS delivery using SCORM. It is particularly suited to teams that want AI-assisted production without starting with a paid subscription.

The published plans show a useful progression. Free includes 450 AI credits at signup, unlimited content and sharing, link, embed, and SCORM sharing, and lesson creation and editing. Professional costs $39 USD per author per month with annual billing and adds 2,000 AI credits per author per month, audio narration with text-to-speech, custom branding and theming, and engagement and performance metrics. Business costs $65 USD per author per month with annual billing and adds 5,000 AI credits, live collaboration, version history and staging, and PDF export of engagement metrics. Enterprise includes unlimited AI generation, SAML/SSO, multiple workspaces, custom permissions, and multi-language module support.

Mindsmith’s main strength is breadth around AI-assisted interactive learning: scored and ungraded assessments, SCORM 1.2 and 2004 export, dynamic and static LMS packages, learner analytics, real-time co-authoring, review links, comments, branding, AI narration, image generation, translation, and localization are all part of the platform’s scope. Integrations include SCORM, xAPI, LTI, ElevenLabs, and MCP, and the platform runs on the web. Choose Mindsmith if low-cost AI authoring, interactive content, and LMS delivery are priorities. Choose an alternative if you need the longer maturity track of an established competitor.
